Prop and set building
This building includes: office, restrooms, laundry,
ice machine and storage space. There is also an additional outside
covered area and two large insulated overhead doors. The building
is insulated and is equipped with lots of electrical power for the
designing and building of sets.
The unique design also allows shooting to be done in this building.
* Landscape
The grounds include
large pecan, oak, elm and cottonwood trees. Some forest areas are
cleared of underbrush, allowing shooting of wooded scenes. These
include creek areas that can enhance any setting. There are four
different pastures or fields with varied elevations in the terrain,
including high cliff areas overlooking the river. There is an island
just off the property that can be used for back shots along the
banks of the back-lot. A vegetation nursery is located on site to
store plants used in cinema productions.
* Sound
Stage and Special Effects
Inside stage 1 there is a 3-wall, 24-foot high cyclorama green screen
allowing compositing flexibility. The stage area is designed for
suspended equipment and props. This stage also includes a light
grid, 25-feet off a super flat floor, a catwalk and a power hoist
for loading and unloading. Attached to the stage is a "clean
power" control room that includes an ADR and make-up room.
The sound stage includes two quiet designed air-conditioning systems
and 2000 amps of power. The Studio also has an outside pad for fiscads
or a large outdoor green screen.
* Production
and admin. offices
Air-conditioned office and administration areas that can be used
as sleeping dorms for up to 24 people. Full restrooms, with showers
available.There is also a kitchen, with an inside and outside commissary.
Screening / conference room, make-up and wardrobe space. Production
trailer hook-ups are on site for
convience
Great
location for staging purposes, it is located in the center of the
filming Austin area.
